What is Horary Astrology?

Horary astrology is a technique used to answer specific question by using astrological guidance.

How does it work?

The time that the question first occurs to the questioner - or if this is unclear, the time that the question is asked of the astrologer - is taken as the 'birth' of the question, and using that time and place, a natal chart for the question is drawn up. This is then interpreted with regard also to the questioner's natal chart, to provide an answer or at the very least an insight into the question.

What kind of Questions can I ask?

The only two rules governing what kind of questions can be used are that the question must be specific, and it must be personal to the questioner. Some examples of questions that can be used in horary astrology are:

Should I take this new job, or stay where I am?
What can I do to improve my relationship with my neighbour?
Is this a good time to ask for a rise?
Will I sell my house in the next six months or not?
I have been offered two pieces of conflicting advice. Which should I follow?
Is X ever going to propose to me, or is he not that serious?
Where is my (something you have lost)?

Very general questions, or impersonal ones will offer only very general or impersonal answers, so questions like "Will I be happy?" or "Will there be another war?" are best avoided. However, any issue that is important to you, and that you can put precisely in to words, can be helped with horary astrology.

Questions can range from those requiring a simple yes or no answer to those that require complex analysis of two or more choices. In fact, horary astrology is particularly useful when you are faced with several alternatives in an issue, and you need advice on how to proceed.

Are there any questions you won't deal with?

For ethical reasons, we cannot deal with questions that you are not personally involved in. So we would not, for instance, deal with the question "Will my sister's marriage survive?" If you have a question about or on behalf of someone else, persuade them to put the question themselves. If that is not possible, then unfortunately we will be unable to help.

Also, we are not financial advisers and therefore we do not and cannot give individual financial advice, so we will not deal with questions such as "Is it safe to invest in X?". We can offer general health advice, but if you ask us a medical question it must be clearly understood that we are not medical professionals, and that you must consult a health professional also.

In most other cases, however, we are happy to help with any kind of question. If in doubt, ask us - we will tell you immediately if we cannot help.
