What are Progressions and Transits?Progressions and transits are two astrological techniques used to gain some idea of future trends that will affect you at any particular time. A progressed chart is your natal chart 'progressed' forward to a particular year. By looking at the progressed planetary positions and relationships in comparison to the natal ones, we discover what areas of your life will be uppermost in your mind at that time, where the challenges and the adventures lie. Transits are the daily movements of the planets, and when we look at any given daily movements in comparison with your natal chart, we can see what sort of 'mood' or emotional influences will be at play in your life on that particular day. The faster moving planets may only affect your life for a day or so at a time, but the slower moving ones make their influence felt gradually over the course of weeks or months. Taking progressions and transits together, we can say with some confidence what areas of your life will be highlighted when, and how you may react to this. So it's a form of fortune telling?No, absolutely not. No astrologer can tell you that such and such "will happen to you", and professional ones would never claim to be able to do so. You always retain free will, and you may act on any given influence in a positive, negative or indifferent way. What we can do, however, is to pinpoint times in your future that you are most likely to be able to make certain advancements in your career, for instance, or times when you would be wise not to make financial decisions, or times that could lead to a new relationship. By making you aware of these trends, we can advise and guide you as to how you might best react to them, but what you actually do is of course entirely up to you. What does a Progressions/Transit report show?We offer two different progression/transit reports. One is for any given year, and shows an overview of that year and what you may expect, with each month covered in greater detail. The second is for a period of three months, with much greater day to day detail. Who would benefit from these reports?If you know you have an important year ahead - your first year of marriage, for instance, or a make-or-break year in your career, a year report would be ideal to guide you through the influences that lie ahead. For those who do not have anything particular in mind, or who are simply curious, a three month report can put you in touch with the planetary influences affecting your life, and lead you to a greater understanding of how to work with these forces instead of against them. Either report would make an ideal gift for someone at a turning point in their lives - a new graduate, or a recently retired person for instance.
